Free Kids Activities at Hogging Up BBQ Festival

Hogging Up’s coordinators realize how expensive it can be coming to a festival with admission and trying to feed the family. Therefore, this year some of the kids activities will be “free” or “donation only”, and others reasonably priced.

The Assembly of God Church of Clear Brook announced they will have fun things for kids to do “free or donation only” including  Facepainting, Sac Races, Frisbee Toss, Bubble Wands, and more old time fun things to keep the kids occupied.

Saturday Free Activities include   Home Depot will be coming out Saturday to have a “free” Kid’s Workshop! This is courtesy of Home Depot 2350 Legge Blvd, 540-723-0619

Paid activities include the Blue Angels Plane (photo prices tbd)  and Mini Train ride for a few bucks.. Adults can have fun riding a mechanical bull for a small fee,  if they date.

Blaze Youth Ministries Kids Zone

Pastor Stephanie will be working hard this year to bring a fun kids zone so that your kids have something to do while you shop, eat and listen to great music! There will be fun games like cornhole and more to keep the little ones occupied. The kids zone helps Blaze Youth Ministries, a division of Woodbine Assembly of God. 

These guys work hard to help us, so let’s help them raise some money for their church!

They meet on Thursday nights at 7:00 pm.

We believe as a youth group that if it is all about fun and games

it is not worth doing. We make sure there is a spiritual impact to what

we do! 

Pigmund the Pig Coming to Virginia Festival Kids Zone

Parents:  you may just happen to see Pigmund the Pig floating around Winchester somewhere in the Kids Zone!  He’s been known to have a complete melt down in 100 degree summer weather and disappear to roll in mud, but we’ll hope he keeps close by and entertains the kids this year!

We are busy working on our kids zone to make Hogging Up a family friendly event.

We anticipate these fun things for kids to do and see:

• Visit and get your picture with the Virginia Giant real live Monster Truck
• Visit the Col. Blevins Blue Angels plane, sit in the cockpit and get your picture taken!
• Listen to singer songwriter Kirsten Sowers (14) sing her original tunes!
• Play in the Kids Zone complete with Cornhole Tournament!
• Participate in the pig oinking contest!
• Eat Kid Friendly food hot dogs, chicken tenders, fries, funnel cakes, deep fried oreos, lemonade, ice cream
• Visit the “fake zoo” and get your picture taken with our “fake animals” such as celebrity UnBelievaBull !
