Become a Kansas City Barbecue Judge KCBS CBJ CLASS

Now you can become a certified bbq judge, aka CBJ!  Join the class scheduled for Sunday 6/29/14 which takes place in one of the fairground buildings, taught by the wonderful KCBS reps Carol and Randy Bigler. Spend just a few hours of your day learning the ins and outs of the famous KCBS “blind judging” system.  Learn what it means to be a CBJ judge and graduate that same day!   Then you are able to apply to be a judge at KCBS sanctioned events.

BBQ Tour Stop Sneak Peak 2014 Hog It Up Friday Night Tour Stop

This just in, BBQ Tour stops set for Friday and Saturday June 28-29th 2014 during the Hogging Up BBQ Festival are going to feature some of the best teams we’ve seen!  Five total stops, here is a sneak peak!

First up one of two stops on Friday night is Bluemont’s own Grand Champion BBQ Team  Hog It Up BBQ! Pitmasters Mike and Michelle Lackey make a creative team, one’s from Texas and one’s from Australia! Last year they were our Dessert Contest Winners! This year spend a half hour at their site learning all about BBQ!~
